Photos - Tibet

In fall 2006, I fulfilled a lifelong dream of traveling to the 'Roof of the World,' Tibet for two weeks. My love of the Himalaya had now brought me to Nepal, Bhutan, and now Tibet. Here I could catch a glimpse of Everest from Base Camp.

I hired a driver and guide and spent over a week tooling around the arid yet majestic desert plateau.

The beauty of the countryside and people was offset by the obvious ongoing Sinofication of the country.
