I was born in San Jose, California in 1966 and grew up in the southern part of the city with my two younger sisters, Renee and Larissa. We spent a lot of our childhoods playing all around the house together, swimming till we turned into prunes, and using everything in the house as our playthings. |

I decided to attend Berkeley, where my own father was a doctoral teaching assistant in mechanical engineering. The campus is just over an hour from my home in San Jose. I majored in economics, after a three semester stint in pre-med, and graduated in 1988. College proved to be one of the most pivitol moments of my life, as it is for many, when each of us really solidifies our initial outlook on life. My desire to live life to it's fullest was expressed best by Thoreau when he said, "live deep and suck out the marrow of life." Something I continue to strive for. |

A period that would force me to grow and learn a lot about the 'real world.' After graduating, I took a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps.
